To keep the app completely offline-first and privacy-respecting, Tend doesn't connect directly to external cloud APIs like Google Contacts or Google Calendar.

However, Tend does support selective importing and 2-way syncing with your native device contacts. If your Android device's contacts app is already hooked up to sync with your Google account, Tend can pull in and update those connections locally. This gives you the benefit of your existing contact list without requiring the app to have direct access to your Google account or cloud servers.
