  • Rabies? /s

  • I think the average reddit user is capable of a lot of suffering. Good I dumped this trash site when they got rid of 3rd party clients.

  • The generational concept is also a bit weird, like if huge waves of children would be born every 10 years lol

  • Gen Z? I though this was more of a Gen alpha thing 6️⃣🤷‍♂️7️⃣

  • Reading that was an emotional roller coaster lol

  • My prediction: Russia will join the "Board", Trump will pressure Ukraine and the Europeans they are against peace because they are not joining. Then Ukraine will join, because they have no other option than accepting this straw, as they don't want US as enemies. Then, Europeans will debate what to do, but in the end they will give in, as their parallel push for peace is not heard neither in Russia or the the US. I know it's sad, but I think this board of peace is not just stupid, but also pretty strategic.

  • The 1 million dollar question: Would I be able to side load it with the new Google developer registration rules?

  • No worries, I believe you in that case! Just saying it's an extreme example ;)

  • Like I said in another comment, I had no problem finding a decent machine a year ago. My basement where it's located doesn't even have a signal.

I also never heard about tooth brushed with apps, I know it is an extreme example made by you, but I doubt there comes a point where you can't buy normal tooth brushed anymore.

I know enshittification is hitting hard these times, but there are still enough alternatives if you look out for them. Screens and internet in fridges and stuff like that I only know from Lemmy, never have seen that in the real world. I an based in the EU, but I think (hope) it's similar in the US.

  • It's a Bosch WAN282H3 I bought for 440€, it's a really nice device so far.

Edit: What I had problems with was finding a washing machine that only has physical buttons, I couldn't find one.

  • I bought a new washing machine a year ago, I really had no troubles to find a "dumb" one

  • Who buys a washing machine with WiFi?

  • It's reported it was their own camera man who accidentally pressed the safety button at the top of the escalator

  • Lemmy Shitpost @lemmy.world

    Rollercoaster

  • I apologize if my answers have offended anybody, that was clearly not my intention. I just tried to underline my point I have extensively explained in my other answers. To be honest, I find your communication pretty rude. I think you might exagerate here and I don't see where you try to add understanding to this discussion, or "teach me communication skills" how you call it.

  • I asked "compared to the US" as this is an article about the US condemning the human rights situation in UK

  • No you are understanding me wrong. I asked "compared to the US" as this is an article about the US condemning the human rights situation in UK. I think it is dangerous to hop on the train while Shady Vance is meeting with Nigel Farage, it is clear that this is a politically motivated move. People should talk about this right now to support the right extremists in the UK.

I am in no way saying the situation in UK is good, I just think we should be careful when to give attention to what because of who is saying something.

  • As this arcticle is about the US administration condemning the human rights situation in the UK I think it is the metric that makes the most sense here.

Saying "yeah the US administration may be fascists and are conducting this assessment to push right extreme parties in Europe, but that doesn't matter because they are right" is a very dangerous position in my opinion.

Edit: Oh what a coincidence https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/13/world/europe/jd-vance-nigel-farage-reform-uk.html

  • Compared to the US? You are insane if you believe that.

  • They did the same with Germany. The US is not able to conduct independent evaluations anymore, as the authorities are more and more driven my political decisions. This makes the content of the evaluations irrelevant, their only purpose now is to use them as political instruments.
