Yeah. It's the type of statement where everybody on the left is mad at trump. And I get it. I totally get the anger.
But trump isn't THE problem. He's A problem.
Lets say, 2028 comes. And lets say somehow some way trump complies with the law. Two term limit. He's gone.
The problem isn't gone. Whoever replaces him on the right will be just as bad, if not worse. The problem is, as hard as it is to admit, or even say, the majority of people in this country support this type of behavior.
They support ice.
They support trans rights being suppressed.
They support racism.
I don't know if the majority supports confederates, but a large chunk of of them do.
I genuinely do not know how a bill would play out if they reinstated slavery. Optimism wants to say it fails. But the way things have gone? I can't say I'm confident.
And none of that is on trump. Thats all on the american public. Trump didn't foster these beliefs. Hitler didn't create antisemitism. They both just stirred the pot and used the chaos to gain and grow their power.
THE problem isn't trump. THE problem is America. We're just seeing an oppertunist use these problems to his/their advantage.
See? He wasn't wrong ENTIRELY! He just got the location wrong, the time frame wrong, the context wrong, and who was actually eating the cats and dogs wrong.
But if you ignore ALL THAT, he almost, almost had a point!
Gotta be honest. I'm 41, and it wasn't until they did the innitial name change that I figured that out. I knew they weren't from Seattle, but I figured they were from somewhere else that represented the rest of the state.
We have The Cavaliers. A name that everyone agrees is shortened to The Cavs, because nobody knows what the hell a cavalier even is. So we just say the cavs, and move on with our lives.
My favorite movie is Jurassic Park. No seriously, check my post history. There's 3 Jurassic Park references just from Saturday alone.
So, I'm authorizing a trade deal. Cleveland retains the 2016 NBA finals win, and all assosiations from the past of Labron James. Because quite frankly, I'd be lynched for taking that away from Cleveland. It's like....all we got. Our hopes and dreams relies on the fact that one time we won a championship. It might happen again. So, we retain that history in this trade.
Outside of that, Cleveland becomes the Cleveland Raptors, Toronto becomes The Toronto Cavaliers.
Do you know what I do when I go to bed? I sleep. Almost instantly. I don't lay there and stress and worry about what I did. I don't worry about how I'm percieved. I just sleep.
You can see by his actions that trump is a deeply troubled, deeply insecure, deeply stressed man. And I use the word "man" in the loosest of definitions.
Everything he's doing, from the CBS cancelations, to blocking the commanders stadium deal, to whatever this ai video bullshit is, it all screams of a man grasping at straws, desprate to change the topic.
Me? I have no desperation. What'ya guys wanna talk about?
