  • That device came with what, Android 11? I think my favorite thing since then has probably been not having to ask whether fDroid can install apps once it's done one time.

  • Agreed. I already run Lineage OS without Google Play services, but the worse Android gets, the more I want to use Post Market OS.

    I haven't had a phone with Google Play services on it since 2019, and finally deleted my Google account in 2023, and I will not allow Google to dictate what I can and cannot do on my phone.

    Currently, since I use AOSP, they can't do it. But, if they do include something in AOSP to force, then I will have to go to a Linux phone.
