  • The Republic of Gilead, you mean

I guarantee you, they'll try to rename it to that, just for shits and giggles or something

  • Like 50 or so it seems

  • This is so sad

Also, I think the entire world may need to prepare themselves for invasion.

I seriously hope that Europe and Canada are preparing because this shit stain will start playing the land grab game soon

  • we need colleges to become cheaper

We need colleges to stop extorting students. Cost of education has skyrocketed for years to the point where it's just ridiculous

Governments should have stepped in years ago and put a stop to that, but here we are

  • Ding ding ding, and even that was too much to handle

  • That... Is from like 30 years ago or something? I was a kid when I read about this

  • do not assume malice when incompetence suffices

Or, in this case, physics. You assume that, where physics is the issue, it must be racism because... Everything is racism, I guess?

Dark skin color reflect less light. Somebody with an extremely dark skinay actually reflect so little light that it's harder to make out details. Could this be adjusted for? Up to certain levels, I'm sure. Should we call everything racist automatically?

    Probably not

    But

  • Though I would not call this front page news worthy, at the same time it's extremely disrespectful from this asshat at the very least.

The monument is literally for those that died to give you the freedoms that you enjoy today. It's somewhat news worthy and hopefully it will shame enough people in giving a little respect where respect is due.

I see this as a similar news item as tourists writing "Kyle was here!" with a marker on some monument and it reminds me of when I just recently visited the Vatican as a tourist where I too saw so many disrespectful people.

I'm a staunch atheist but I can admire the beauty of the art, and I understand the importance the place has for many people. Women entering are asked to wear a scarf over their shoulders if they wear tank tops, etc. So to my surprise, so many women got the scarf, walked in, the just stuffed the scarf in a purse or something because they didn't wanted to wear it.

Agree with it or not, that's fine. But if you enter, show some damned respect. Either wear the scarf or leave. I don't have respect for people that don't respect others

  • I don't think they should fear the people

Governments should be boring and each government employee bshould have erg limited powers

I want a government that puts high taxes on the rich so that everyone has the same opportunities

I want a government that pushes cities for livable infrastructure, designed nfor humans.

I want a government that puts people before companies

I don't want a government that does flashy new big projects. I want boring small incremental improvements

  • Yeah but here is the thing: the entire idea of a pet is to get some emotional connection with it, making you want to care for it.

Anyone delivering their pet for this should maybe have a psychological evaluation if you ask me

  • my flabber had never been so gasted

Added to my quirky comments list

  • I'm aware of the details

Why don't they buy hamsters and what not themselves from providers so that there aren't emotional connections to the animals at least?

It's weird to ask for animals where there are inherently emotional connections

Then the question: don't they have the money?

  • I'll agree that it's weird to say the least that they're askit for pets, pets should be worth more than just their money.

Having said that, predators need food too. Predators aren't evil, they just evolved to eat other animals, it's what they do, it's what they've done for a billion years or so.

I think Denmark should fund zoos better

  • I want there to be a difference between actual discrimination and just software not working the way it should be, or sometimes even physics.

Again as the example: facial recognition on people with extremely dark skin. The camera gets less light, less detail, it's literally physics causing the issue, NOT discrimination.

If cour the that needs to be fixed but that might mean that the camera needs a small light to help, for example. Again, this is not discrimination, it's just a consequence of having darker skin, doesn't make anyone less or more, it is what it is.

I really get uncomfortable when people start throwing around "discrimination!!!" on things like this, because it means that in my job as a software developer now suddenly I can be called a nazi because a software method wasn't done quite right

Don't assume evil where plain stupidity suffices

  • It's not a discrimination thing, I'm sure this is just facial recognition failing over his extensive facial tattoos, same as it can fail on people with very dark skin. No racism or discrimination needed to explain it, it's just the software or sometimes even physics that causes it.

Having said that, fuck the UK government for implementing this shit.

Get your porn whilst you can because other countries will follow suit and soon even a VPN won't save you anymore

  • And fully expect this to only become worse as time goes on. The Christo-taleban has full steam now and won't stop

  • Fuck your gods, all hail Satan!

    That might work for most

  • And you think that his cronies will immediately organize an election when he finally does?

  • I'm sorry but it can't be that hard to have an automated lock on the door. If metal detectors influence the machine, which is possible, then out them further away. Again, with MRI machines costing what they do, these aren't the prices you would worry about.
