I love using this tactic. When I was in the scouts, my troop was attached to a church like many are. One day we were going into the church to do a merit badge class, and the scout leader who hated me (because I was basically him at that age) told me to take off my hat.
Of course, being a teenager who loved challenging authority, I asked why. He said because it was disrespectful to God. I asked him who said it was disrespectful, and he told me it was in the Bible.
I picked up a Bible, handed it to him, and asked him to show me the passage.
These people are Christian in name only. They only care about the Bible when they can use it to justify their selfishness and hatred.
Shit, the Bible says in multiple places that life begins at first breath and even has instructions for an abortion ritual, but it won't stop them from using their religion to push their pro forced birth agenda.
I originally subscribed because I wanted an employment contract review, and $300 was way less than hiring a lawyer directly. I've kept it because I'm critical of the current administration.
There are legal services you can subscribe to that give you a phone number to call if you get arrested and they'll send out a lawyer. The one I have is $300 a year.
