I don't want to defend Trump in anyway but this is a hystirical headline meant to generate clicks and attention.
“I said to them, was there any sign of love?” Trump said, recounting his conversation with released hostages.
“Did the, Hamas, show any signs of like, help? Or liking you? Did they wink? Did they give you a piece of bread extra? Did they give you a meal on the side? … Like, you know, what happened in Germany?” Trump said, absurdly comparing the hostages’ situation to the Holocaust, which murdered six million Jews.
“People would try and help people that were in unbelievable distress,” the president went on, suggesting that the Nazis were known for their generosity.
“No, they didn’t do that, they’d slap us,” Trump said the hostages told him about Hamas, while sitting next to the man who is currently leading Israel’s genocide in Gaza. “Their hatred is unbelievable.”
What I think he is trying to say in a very weird way is Nazi's treated Jews better than Hamas does now.
Yes the orange monkey is very stupid and crazy for saying shit like this, again I don't want to defend him in any way but the article does not say that Trump thinks Nazi's loved Jews.
If they cause shit than I'd say there is an actual reason to kick them out, as I said I don't know anything about Belgian royals. What I think is that the financial argument is weak, especially compared to the moral argument on whether it's fair or not. I think it'd be better this 'tradation' dies slowly.
Also, I think this guy wanting extra money is a douchebag move. Feel like I need to stress that with all these downvotes.
I don't know much about how Belgian royalty behaves, but I argue it would be fair not to end this tradition until they fuck up. Royal allowances and costs of ceremonies etc aren't that high if you consider the diplomatic weight royalties have in foreign countries, even more so in foreign monarchies.
Image a greenhouse where they grow human feet, whole legs, loose eyes and a bunch of hearts next to another greenhouse where they grow arms that wave as you walk past, their fingernails perfectly groomed. You see a bunch of scalps with a youthful head of hair next to some carefully protected brains. Perfect teeth growing row after row. And as you look around you realise how happy people will be with the spare body parts you're growing, and feel a deep form of gratitude your father got you in this new industry because thanks to him you are a rich man with a big house and a big car and a perfect wife.
I think since he bought the licence there is no-one to sue him for forgery or something like that. Quite possible the artist didn't only write directions on how to create the artwork (e.g. the kind of tape, the direction of the tape, the orientation of the banana etc), but also 'rules' on what not to do with it. If he would expose this work different the artist could possibly sue him for breaking their agreement.
There is an artist (Sol LeWitt) who is famous for instructing others to create his work. He didn't sell the artwork, he sold the exclusive right to follow a set of instructions. Quite interesting work also, here is a link:
In 1968, Sol LeWitt began creating his wall drawings, which consist solely of written instructions and diagrams for others to execute. LeWitt likened his instructions to musical scores, which are realized in a new way every time they’re played, and it’s possible for LeWitt’s wall drawings to take slightly different forms, depending on how his directions are implemented. Although the idea of the work is meant to be preserved, the work itself is often ephemeral, and it can exist in more than one place at one time.
This happened to me with Sennheiser headphones. They broke, and I returned them. They by now had become the old model which was sold out. So they gave me a gift card which allowed me to buy new model for a price lower than my initial purchase. Gotta love those warranty laws.
