    This ain't a hypothetical, we have thousands of years of recorded history. When wealth because concentrated and the wealthy seize the government, it doesn't take long for the new government to start cannibalizing the very wealthy elites that put it in power.

    That turns the remaining ones against the government.

    They side with the poor, call it a revolution, and they end up as the biggest fish in a more equal pond.

    This is literally how America became a country... And France funding us led to their revolution because they squeezed the poors to fund us.

    This isn't a new scenario, it happens all the time

    We just need to prolong the good part of the cycle if we live thru it. But eventually our grandkids or their kids won't remember and we'll do it again.

    He didn't take those deals out of principle, and it took another decade or two for him to really break mainstream. Which is insane considering in the first issue of XXL magazine, Biggie himself named RA as the best rapper in NYC.

    It was a literal metal chain, like steel. Not a gold cuban link chain or something with a huge medallion a rapper would wear.

    Apparently this idiot just lived everyday with a 20lb length of chain around his neck for "weight training". The article mentions it was "a topic of discussion" on a prior visit, so it wasn't a one time thing.

    The type of person to do that, is 100% the type of guy to run into an active MRI like he could do anything. Theres no logical thinking going on, and an outright refusal to listen to qualified medical advice. Like, they make weighted vests, at least do that instead of putting all that weight on your neck.

  • As much as the machines cost, something like that wired up with a metal detector so that if the machine is on and there's metal in the airlock it will never open would actually be a good solution....

    But it would take a society that values human life and absence of suffering over money. Because like someone else pointed out, the hospital ain't the one paying to fix the machine.

    To be clear the most likely explanation has always been the same as Cheney and 9/11...

    They knew it was coming, in general if not specific, and they choose to let it happen because that was what was best for their interests.

    That's a billion times more likely than the CIA taking explicit actions to lead to the assassinations of a US president. It takes a lot to make something like this happen, very little to know it's gonna happen and intentionally let it happen.
