  • for ~13 years now, actually. this guy has been nonstop in our political zeitgeist

  • Cracker Barrel is named after the term for a restaurant that serves calorie dense food for a low price. it is, itself, a cracker barrel. you should mainly expect though southern us breakfast staples like pancakes, sausage, bacon, biscuits, and corn bread

  • to put it simply: yes

    and to elaborate: absolutely

  • better to honor our lost at all than perfectly

  • and the feel of cracker barrel is critical to the whole experience

  • Hardee's

  • (this ignores the thousands of taihno who committed suicide, choosing death over servitude, and how much work Colombus' men put into preventing others from choosing the same path)

  • diplomatic immunity is something else. it's that diplomats aren't bound to know all of the laws of the country they are residing in. for example, if i'm a diplomat for the US, and i make a right turn on red in Prince Edward Island while conducting official business, i may be pulled over, but not ticketed.

what's happening here is military protection escorts as is done for all heads of state visiting another country. especially in this case since they will be flying over international waters and Putin is a wanted war criminal

  • the association with social liberation politics and the straw hat jolly roger only gets stronger as the series goes on

  • almost like who raises kids and how they're raised matters and resisting fascism starts with nurturing within children empathy

  • her story is so sad. she was basically a mail order bride (it's actually even sadder and more manipulative and exploitative than that)

  • i'm trying to find a link after the other poster asked it but they've been far more supportive of israel than is appropriate

  • i have bad news about who metallica has shown themselves to be in the last 5 years

  • feature of fascism: the enemy is both nearly eradicated and everywhere

  • science fictiun has been warning about a surveillance state that becomes so pervasive it penetrates your thoughts for decades. but we never really wrote any speculative fiction about the state planting evidence of thoughts on you

  • Counterpoint, the great society party wants to return us to 160 years ago when a man was allowed to own some people. If that means throwing a bunch of other things out, him and his crowd are fine to do it

  • it was probably the energy at a non-zero number of roman triumphs, too

  • how long until Baron tortures him to death for his own petty amusement?

  • you created him you round lead filled idiot
