  • Hate to disagree with you, but openning and shutting some locks and/or spillways isn't all that difficult, and you would be amazed how often lakes and rivers swell and go down, just from a major rainstorm or two nearby or upriver. The wildlife, for the most part, doesn't care.

  • Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

  • If battery acid tasted bad, old corroded batteries would be a lot less dangerous in general.

  • Your subconscious was farming those up-doots.

  • Were you meaning "pertinent" or "appropriate"? Incentive has always been a noun in my experience.

  • Being generous to him, few places have such a stereotype of people being willing to take his advice as Japan. By which I mean, for 90% of the world, stating his opinion is even more pointless.

On The Other Hand, maybe he just wanted to try to get people to do it for his own gratification, and picked the most vulnerable targets he could think of.

  • Go punch a Nazi. Or downvote. Maybe picket The Onion headquarters if that's your fancy? If this "slander" holds no weight, then why are you wasting your breath here?

  • They are celebrities, not political candidates. "Vote Blue No Matter Who" is disingenuous when the DNC weilds it, and not even remotely applicable to rich-ass celebrities whose entire political stance is to try to be "apolitical".

  • Exactly.

  • Indeed, condemn us all. So where's the part where these "apolitical" cowards-at-best deserve your defence, again?

  • That was twelve years ago, and "please don't use our music for torture" is the bare minimum for people who want plausible deniability without actually doing anything about the fact that people are being tortured.

  • Don't confuse the awesome free service that once was with the paid brand that's still around. Still funny all the effort and good-will Metallica wasted to go after one site when plenty of alternatives existed.

  • Rofl. Imagine thinking I called out Metallica for taking down Napster alone.

Their shit's been used in DoD/weapons-contractor videos for decades, and the moment the MAGAts start to turn on Trump over the Epstien stuff, Metallica is suddenly anti-drone, for the first time ever.

Next you'll tell us NASCAR brought down the Berlin Wall.

  • Metallica loves imperialism for the most part, that's how.

  • Paste-eaters deserve better than this moron.

  • I would posit that potentially releasing invasive species or pets that won't survive the new localle crosses past the hobbyist/enthusiast lines towards villainny or menace. Might as well call arson a hobby.

  • Hard agree, but I'm not here to argue against entire denominations. I personally despise any organization/religion above the Congregation level.

  • It's illegal for him to proffit off of murder, assuming he's convicted. Until he is convicted, still, no such profits could be used in his defense. He's welcome to sue if he's found not guilty though.

  • Dude REALLY wants to be the anti-Christ, and the "Christians" that put him in office want that too. They think they'll be rewarded for putting their fellow humans(& the planet) through hell, and bringing on the end-of-days sooner, rather than later.
