But it probably did infuriate Donald supporters, just like how Dems supported the genocide in Gaza until the presidency changed hands and it was no longer convenient. Partisans have no real political convictions. It's all a matter of convenience or just repeating whatever their algorithm tells them to think on a given day.
If Joe Biden had his way we'd still be in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, Somalia, Yemen, and Libya. (The 7 countries where Obama was making war at the end of his presidency all at the same time.)

You have no power whatsoever at the national level absent a billion-dollar fortune or membership in the Epstein Class.
Our only power is local, and locally, progressives are winning, and it's not just Mamdani.
Hell, look at my state: deep red Missouri. You probably haven't given it a second thought, but in 2024 we approved state amendments to mandate required paid sick leave, a $15 minimum wage, and legalizing abortion. Kansas City has passed two extensions of its streetcar line in recent years, which is amazing because KC is a car-centric town. (And the streetcar is free.) We even imprisoned a killer cop, one of the few places in the entire country to do so.

The alternative explanation is that, on top of having to overcome billionaires, we have to deal with brain-dead partisan Democratic voters who think someone is 'electable' because they don't consume any info that isn't fed to them from their moronic, corporate-owned social media feeds or MSNBC, or they ignore how shitty a candidate is because that politician possesses a vagina.

That's some hair-splitting right there. They were quoted as saying it's their right to hold unfair primaries, in court, which to me is as good as an admission.
But we know they're rigged. It's why superdelegates were invented, and why Bernie never had a chance despite being immensely more popular than Hillary.

But not a damn one with any real power, and that's the problem.
Which is why I figure the only semblance of justice that will be had here will be social or civil, not criminal. I think we will see victims suing the agents who attacked them, or raped them, or otherwise brutalized them. There will be stories in the media about these monsters that will result in some flavors of social consequences.
But I'd be shocked if any of them spend significant time in prison.
Meanwhile China is positioning itself as a leader in the energy sectors of the future.
It's depressing to watch these displays, but even more depressing in the knowledge that our nation's power is (as usual) being squandered to make a demented old man feel like a big boy and for keeping a handful of billionaires marginally richer with money they'll never actually live to spend anyway.
